Cornerstone Insurance enhances eDoc management and enables more valuable work

Cornerstone Insurance is a successful and growing insurance brokerage that has been serving customers for over 60 years. Today, the brokerage is run by Brock Longworth, the second generation in his family to run the brokerage,  with 45 employees spread across four physical offices and a digital brokerage that serves all of Western Canada.

The productivity drain of eDoc management

Cornerstone wanted to save time on a crucial yet low-value task: properly naming and categorizing their daily eDoc downloads. This process was time-consuming, repetitive, and challenging to staff due to its monotonous nature. Renaming and organizing eDocs required six valuable human hours from their operations team to open 300-400 policies, read them, extract the necessary data, rename the eDocs accurately, and set broker activities.

This tedious task significantly drained productivity and limited their ability to grow efficiently. Cornerstone wanted to automate this process and refocus their team's free-up time on initiatives that would help move the business forward. There was only one problem, they were unsure how to achieve this or if it was even possible.

From doubt to success: Implementing Quandri

When Brock was introduced to Quandri, he initially thought their offering sounded too good to be true. Quandri proposed a solution that would save Cornerstone Insurance $27,000 a year and repurpose 120 hours of their operations team's time to more valuable work. Additionally, the data from the eDocs would help assist brokers, freeing them to focus on client relationships and sales. Despite his initial doubt, Brock decided to implement Quandri at Cornerstone due to the low initial investment and high ROI potential.

The task that we have now digitized thanks to Quandri, has allowed us to redeploy nearly one entire full-time position to more meaningful work. We have greater accuracy on an extremely repetitive, high-volume task that is hard to staff.

According to Brock, Quandri was highly engaged in finding and creating a solution that worked for their Brokerage. Within five weeks, Quandri's bots were deployed, automating the eDoc management processes for Cornerstone Insurance.
